Design Process

All projects require a thorough consultation with prospective client and designer prior to starting any project. This gives each party an opportunity to interview each other, and discuss the project. After consultation, and an assessment of budget, timeline, and expectations, a formal Letter of Agreement will be presented. Each payment structure is custom designed to meet the needs of the client and project.

Project Fee:

Used often for larger projects that may take some time to complete, often involving contractors, tradesman, specifications, and showroom visits.

Hourly Block of Time:

Hourly Blocks of time are available to purchase by client. Most Blocks are available in 5 hour increments, and can be purchased in multiples. Best used in smaller projects to coordinate design trades, purchases, or multiple appointments. This can also be used for projects involving decor such as event or holiday.

Product Management:

Used when designer is purchasing products from professional sources, who are normally not available to client. A percentage is added to cost, but below retail pricing.

Once terms accepted, a 50% deposit will be needed to start the design process, remaining balance due upon receipt of completed concept, or as arranged per letter of agreement.

Designer will track billable hours and notify client when necessary. Travel time, phone calls, computer communications, client visits, source visits, research, ordering, delivery and pick up times are all included in billable hours.

Any returns, defects in product, or other concerns will be addressed directly with the manufacturer or seller. Client agrees to hold the designer harmless for failure of product or service.

No orders will be initiated by the designer without client approval and signature on purchase order form. A 75% deposit will be required upon acceptance by the client before product is ordered. Client will be responsible for all freight, shipping, and any other ancillary charges. Any outstanding balance for services or purchase of products is due in total upon delivery.

All purchases made by designer shall be reimbursed by client in full at time of installation.
